“My work is a meditation on presence, vulnerability, and the quiet, often unseen narratives that shape our emotional lives. Through portraiture, surrealism, and abstraction, I explore the layered complexities of identity, memory, and human connection.

The subjects in my paintings are frequently caught in moments of introspection or silent tension—men lost in thought, figures interrupted by absence, bodies grounded in the earth or suspended in psychological space. Each piece aims to confront the spaces between what is felt and what is seen.

I use expressive brushwork and a palette that shifts between warmth and shadow to heighten emotional texture. Symbolic elements—such as mirrors, eyes, and the natural landscape—act as metaphors for perception, memory, and the fragility of self. My figures are not heroic or idealized; they are real, worn, contemplative. They carry bruises, doubts, tenderness, and resilience.

Many of these paintings emerge from personal experiences, but I aim for them to serve as mirrors themselves—inviting viewers to find their own reflections in the silence, to sit with the weight of presence and the ache of absence.”

Artist’s Bio

Born and raised in New York City, I am a self-taught painter whose work reflects the raw emotion and layered complexity of urban life and human connection. With a background in fashion, I bring a unique sensitivity to texture, color, and form—infusing each canvas with a visceral, tactile quality that blurs the line between visual art and lived experience.

Though not classically trained, my intuitive approach to painting is deeply personal and unfiltered. Drawing inspiration from the people, struggles, and silences of everyday life, my work explores themes of identity, and emotional presence.

Rooted in the energy and grit of the city, my art resists polish in favor of honesty. My creative practice is an act of observation and empathy—an attempt to capture what words often can’t.
